The Mothman Prophecies. It has excellent camerawork and it's pretty artistic style catches my eye, but the script sucks and the plot, while edgy if you believe the legends, is kinda flat. |

Haven't had a conversation here in America about how great this movie was, so far. All I hear is I didn't get it, or it was boring. All the while they're slobbering over Avatar, and Transformers. Edited by SackFulloApplez, 13 Oct 2011, 03:57 PM.

The only kind of bad movies I'm into are movies made by The Asylum. Here are a few my my favourites: Megapiranha Megashark vs. Giant Octopus Megashark vs. Supercroc Snakes on a train Vampires vs. Zombies Transmorphers Transmorphers: Fall of Man Titanic II Look up the trailers of some of these movies. They're hilarious! |

A lot of stuff by Nicolas Cage The Room (I met Tommy Wiseau at a screening and I can now say that I think he's genuinely crazy, not just acting like it) A number of sci fi originals Johnny Mnemonic |

Watching bad movies is my hobby so almost all of them. Fantasy Mission Force is a bad martial arts movie in its own league though. Give it a go if you like Chinese Scotsman infantry and Jackie Chan chasing a chicken. Quite hilarious. |

"Alien versus Predator". I honestly have no idea why people hate it so much. This movie was exactly what I expected it to be: two groups of homicidal extraterrestrials trying to kill each other inside a huge pyramid. "Freddy versus Jason". Same thing. Freddy Krueger is an interesting character as always (although the dream sequences are not as good as, say, in the third "Nightmare on Elm Street"). Also, this movie has the best Jason so far. "Ghostbusters 2". I've got no clue whatsoever as to why this movie is so unpopular. Maybe it's because of everybody singing "Auld Lang Syne" at the end. Also, "Doom". And "Alien 4". For me it's a few B-movies, mostly those starring Dolph Lundgren. There's also Deadfall. |

I watched an MST3K episode featuring a movie called "Phase IV" which I thought was really cool. Basically all ant species somehow (I think it's implied aliens did it) become a hive mind and begin some sort of plan to assimilate the humans into their army. The coolest part was they had a whole ton of great footage of ants in their hills and crawling around inside machines and screwing with the humans. I really felt creeped out by it and got tingly sensations like there were little ants crawling up my legs and stuff and had to scratch them to assure myself I was not being swarmed. (That reminds me of a dream I had, come to think of it...) It reminded me of a short story I read in elementary school because one scene seems ripped right out of it. The story takes place in Brazil I believe and a giant army of ants blankets the rainforest floor, killing even large animals on their march. There's a small house with a moat dug around it filled with oil or gasoline which they light on fire after it proves no trouble for the ants to build a bridge of ant corpses for the greater part of the horde to cross. There's also a guy who makes a run for it but is killed by the ants in seconds. It's a pretty darn slow. I also thought Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie was better than people give it credit for. The main criticism is "it's the same joke over and over. Awkward comedy then look at the camera and replay it for no reason" which, as far as I can tell, is just a lie. Død snø (Dead snow) It's horrible and barely sensical, nonethless, it was hilarious. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Snow I also have a soft spot for UFO and alien "documentaries" Don't worry, my brain goes no where. I just find them entertaining. Edited by Taelôk, 11 Apr 2012, 12:23 AM.
