We want this forum to be an adaptive, growing, changing beast. Part of how we facilitate this is by gathering input for the users and considering their suggestions. So, if you've got an idea as to how things could be done better, we're all ears.

The one moderator you have can't keep up with all the trolls, and even forum users have to sleep some time.

I'm working on the moderator issues. I've got a few mods going. We may be a little short-handed for a while, but we will have a solid core of mods again in a couple of weeks.

Personally, I would like a "science" section, but I doubt many others would be interested in that.

We can give it a trial run. Worst that could happen is it's not that popular.

I think the All about us Category should be ordered like this,

-General Discussion
-Amazing Atheist Discussion
-Introduce Yourself
-Q&A Forum
-Sex Talk
-Commonman's Rant
-Gaming

I think it would look better that way. What do you guys think?

what about music?
Music has it's own forum.

It's in "The Arts" Category.

What are the rules for becoming Elite Members?

Is it the same 300+ Posts or will there be a change to this?

I think that 'Science' and 'Tech' should be combined, they are similar enough.

Its best to keep the board refined, IMO.

Let's give science a shot on it's own for a couple of weeks. If it doesn't seem to be able to exist autonomously, we'll merge those two sections.

I don't know if people will like the "elite member" and other status back, that way we can differentiate between users according to contribution, most new users will like the posting perks or so I think.

I think it's a better idea to not have any posting perks, or any 'elite member' statuses

I disagree. I think it's good to award people when they are active and contribute more to the forum.

It is only an aesthetic difference, but it may give some users the kick of being in the catagory. Perks are a nice way of saying...thanks for the contributions.

I just feel like people should post because they have something to say, or to contribute to a conversation. Not because they are just trying to raise their post count to become part of a group of 'elite members'. I do agree that this is a good way to get people to post, but it is also a good incentive for people to just spam out random posts.

Then again I have never been a member of a forum that has any posting perks. Maybe that never happens, i don't know.

I wouldn't say that there is any notable perk in gaining a status, just a individual ranking. I do agree the concern would be spamming to reach a level, but that said how much time and how much content and quality thereof is dependant upon the user.

I favour interaction and diverse opinions so for me, the more people post the better. That said I may not be as frequent as current but I still find that this community can grow and would like to be somewhat part of that.

I think that the community would grow better without any kind of statuses based on something as meaningless as post count. Interaction and diverse opinions would prosper without any kind of individual ranking among the members, even more than it would with one.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

This might be pointless bitching, but a smaller maximum signature size would be appreciated. I've blocked so many people's sigs just because they fill up ridiculous amounts of space. Input from others would be appreciated on that.

Also, something on thread derailing would be nice. It's annoying when you see people discussing a topic and some asshole comes in and completely changes it to some bullshit that achieves nothing but a higher post count for those involved.
