ok, yesterday episode was... just boring, not really scary, not really funny or whitty, and the writing was kinda lazy, they just pull something for theirs asses.
Oh, yeah, theres a races of theses fuckers now, forgot to mention it.... does that mean that the girl who dreamed the library its a ...¿who whats it call?zeltus or something like that too?
this one was so bad that now I dont hype for the next, even if everything thigs togheter at the end like series 5 finales(theres a hint in the song that the dolls where sining) this possibility actually remind me the AWESOME finale that was ecleston year. ._.

No... The girl in the library was placed there so she wouldn't completely die... She would keep on living... This kid is something else.. Psychic ginger kid.

I liked the episode... a decent filler...

I've been increasingly unimpressed by the writing lately. It feels like lazily-written filler so that they can hurry along to the season finale where (I hope) they actually have something interesting happen.

As a filler episode it wasn't bad. I just think the ending was a complete fucking cop-out. It's not like one of those endings where you can just decide for yourself what the kid is. The idea finding out what he is and why he was there was the primary thing keeping me motivated to watch, but they got to lazy.
You can't just use a prominent character as a mcguffin like that. It doesn't work.

The ending to the last episode was good, but I keep feeling like Moffat develops Rory and makes him a great character, and just shits on any sort of growth Amy makes, anyone else agree?

I think the writers might be making up for him being kind of over looked in the 5th series and the beginning of the 6th series.

What I don't like is that the spotlight is on Amy and Rory's relationship and the Doctor just seems like a third wheel right now.

I've never really felt Rory was overlooked, he always seemed more developed, more fleshed out and more likeable, Amy is boring and two dimensional.

It just seemed to me that Rory always was a lesser used character then Amy and the Doctor. Everything was about Amy. Rory was just a tag along who died in like every episode. That's way I viewed it anyways.

But that's what made him so likeable, that Amy treated him so bad, he wasn't even the guy who wanted to get the hot girl, he had her, and he wanted to do anything for her, and she treats him like shit, and while their connection has grown well, Amy herself sucks, while Rory has turned into my favorite companion.

Moffat showed a big growth with Amy with the older version of her, but that was pretty much erased from the plot at the end, and she'll just know that she was older and gain little from it, the big trauma in the relationship was with Rory and Old Amy, Present Amy just tagged along.

am I the only person who thought the 10th doctor's last line wasn't sad, but really unnecessary? I mean The Doctor has regenerated 9 fuckin' times. Basically that is you, why be such a pussy about it?

feel free to hate me.

It was also him saying goodbye to all of the people he had met (Rose, Donna, etc.) who he also had fucked over royally. Plus in the last few specials he had damn-near lost his mind, not to mention him having to deal with the knowledge that not only is his entire race gone but the ones that are still "alive" are batshit crazy and evil... and there was the whole Time War that he took part in. War fucks you up.

And regeneration is more than just gaining a new body. He dies. Not totally, but he does die. I can imagine it's extraordinarily painful. Then there's the fact that he gets both a new body and new personality quirks. It's a major shift.

I can see your point I still just see it as a throw away line that sparked way to much mud-slinging.

Most of all it was an emotional ploy used by the writers to make people like me cry like little babies.
