Out of cartoonists, I admire Doug TenNaple, Ub Iwerks, Richard Williams, R. Crumb and Erik Schwartz. I also gaze at classic works from Gustave Dore, M.C. Escher, and Salvador Dali. (I can't seem to place a name on the artist or name of this piece, but I've been fascinated with it for a good four years now.) I also have a thing for Tim Burton, Don Bluth, and David Lynch. That said, I have occasionally stumbled across this William Blake fellow and I find his weird (At least to me, the precise lines showing the muscular structures weird me out) and grotesque images hard to look away from. Newton A Negro Hung Alive By the Ribs to a Gallows Behemoth and Leviathan Also, this guy whose website goes by the name Atelier Olshinsky. Don't know if that's his/her name or not.
